CCTV appeal following burglary in Liverpool

Detectives in Liverpool are issuing CCTV images of a man who may have information following a burglary at a house in Tuebrook. 

On Sunday 26 July we received a report of a burglary that happened between 12.30pm and 2pm when a teenage girl left an address on Green Lane and returned to find the front door wide open and a man inside the house.

The man who was on the stairs holding a Dior lipstick and a grey backpack containing several items pushed the teenage girl out of his way and ran out of the back gate of the property towards Tynwald Hill and then onto Lister Drive.

A Dior lipstick and two car keys were taken from the property during the incident.

Extensive CCTV examinations have been conducted in the area and detectives have now issued two CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to who could assist in their investigation.

Detective Inspector Lee Egerton said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim who found a man stealing several items from inside her house. To break into someone’s home is a serious offence and we are committed to find the person responsible.

“We believe that the man pictured could further assist this ongoing investigation, so if you know him please come forward as soon as possible. I also urge people who live on Green Lane and saw what happened or has any information to contact us.

“While some weeks have passed since the incident, any information you hold could be vital to our investigation.”
