Youth related ASB
Issued 09 April 2026
From feedback in the community and on social media we are aware that youth related anti-social behaviour is an issue across our town centres including Prescot, Huyton and Kirkby. We know that the better weather and school holidays across the summer months heightens these issues and to combat this we have town centre summer plans in place to increase patrols in town centres at key times, target offenders and work with partners to engage with the youths and provide diversionary activities.

Retail crime
Issued 09 April 2026
Theft from shops in the town centre is a priority for us as crime figures show as well as communications with local businesses. To tackle this we have worked with local business and partners including Knowsley Council to set up a business watch scheme which covers both the town centre and Industrial Estate areas. Through this we work on better reporting, how we can prevent offences and proactive targeting of individuals who repeatedly target the town centre by using civil orders to reduce their chance of reoffending.
