Anti-social behaviour and acquisitive crime in the park and surrounding areas

From feedback in the community we are aware that ASB and crime in Calderstones park and surrounding areas in particular with youths is an issue. We know that this has been heightened recently with the Halloween and Christmas period. To combat this we have set up a Winter of Action Plan which aims at increasing patrols at key times to target offenders, we have also been working with our partners to look at the overall safety of the park and to see how things can be improved, this includes the lighting and CCTV provision.
