Local communities have told us they want increased police visibility - more bobbies on the beat – to help tackle violent and sexual offences, especially in busy public areas. In response, we will be conducting targeted foot patrols over the next three months, focusing on, though not limited to, Jennifer Avenue Retail Park, Scotland Road, and Great Homer Street.
Action taken:
Local Policing teams have engaged in Hot Spot Policing in the area on a daily basis. This includes foot patrol by both police officers and PCSO’s.
A further officer has been assigned to the area to support ongoing community safety efforts.
