A thief has been banned from a retail park in Prescot and Earlestown town centre after pleading guilty to stealing from a retail store.

Officers have conducted regular high visibility and covert patrols to deter the use of off road bikes in the area and increase intelligence around drug dealing to support future warrant applications. Officers will continue to work in partnership to combat this issue.

Local policing officers, newly assigned to the area following the recent force restructure and uplift at Newton‑le‑Willows Police Station, have been focusing on familiarising themselves with the community, key locations, and the individuals involved in these issues.
As lighter evenings and summer months approach, officers will be increasing their proactive patrols and working to develop intelligence around those responsible for persistent nuisance riding. This includes identifying hotspots, gathering information from residents, and building a clearer picture of the offenders who continue to blight the community. This intelligence‑led approach will support future enforcement activity and targeted problem‑solving to reduce the impact on local people.
