Nuisance use of scrambler/ e bikes mainly on Newton High Street, Anti social use of vehicles on Parkside Link Road and drug dealing

Local policing officers have been working hard to combat issues in the Newton area but really need the assistance of the community. Regarding the scrambler bike issue on Newton High Street, HVP has been conducted and CCTV enquiries made but have proved negative due to the riders wearing face coverings. Police Quad bikes have been requested to attend the area when on patrol.
Regarding the Anti-social use of vehicles on Parkside Link Road, a partnership meeting was held to discuss options. LP officers deployed to the area, with our Roads Policing colleagues and their specialist capabilities. The Safer Roads Team attended with the speed van in response to speeding vehicles, No vehicles were found speeding on link way itself but 66 vehicles were sent tickets in the post due to excess speed in the area. Incidents on linkway have reduced.
Regarding Drug dealing in the area, one female has been evicted from her property and officers are currently developing enforcement opportunities.

Local policing officers have conducted regular high visibility patrols in the area and engaged with residents offering crime prevention advice and ensuring a thorough investigation into video evidence of offences. Faraday pouches and motorbike handle bar locks have been distributed and bike marking conducted following the Christmas period.

ASB in the Wargrave Road area of Newton is a priority for this area

Anti‑social behaviour in the Wargrave Road area of Newton has been a priority for the local policing team.
Officers have increased patrols and provided reassurance to residents following reports of ongoing issues. The team has identified several youths involved and been working closely with schools and partner agencies to address their behaviour to prevent further incidents.
These combined efforts have resulted in a noticeable reduction in calls for service to the area, and officers will continue to monitor the location to maintain this progress
