Officers have been working with internal and external partners under operation Gears, using specialist capabilities to target problematic areas and linked in with Lancashire Constabulary to provide a cross boarder response to the issue. Officers continue to develop intelligence as to who continues to blight the community with use of off-road bikes in the area.

From feedback in the community scrambler bikes and e-bikes causing anti-social behaviour over the summer months in Rainford was made a priority and has continued over the past few months. Officers have been working with internal and external partners under operation Gears, and forged links with Lancashire Constabulary for a cross boarder response to the issue. Both forces have provided a visible presence to the area and from community feedback there have been no reported noise complaints or sightings of off-rode bikes in the area.
Regarding the ASB and drug related issues, officers are again working with Lancashire Constabulary and looking to develop intelligence in this area.

Local policing officers have held problem solving meetings with neighbouring forces to share information regarding cross boarder offences. They have conducted reassurance visits in the areas effected by acquisitive crime to provide crime prevention advice and devices such as locks, alarms and faraday pouches.

Burglary, vehicle crime and cross boarder offences continue to be a priority in the Rainford area.

Officers have carried out targeted patrols using an unmarked vehicle to identify individuals or vehicles potentially linked to burglary. Encouragingly, burglary incidents have decreased over the past month. High‑visibility patrols have also taken place, focusing on identifying possible access routes into Rainford used by offenders. Officers distributed Faraday pouches and engaged with residents door‑to‑door to raise awareness and promote crime‑prevention measures.
