Recent police surgeries and community engagement activity have identified anti‑social behaviour (ASB) and suspected drug use as key concerns among local residents.
Residents report that groups of young people are frequently involved in ASB in and around the Mercer Road and Greenfield areas, leading to ongoing nuisance and negatively affecting perceptions of safety within the community.
Further concerns have been raised about youths congregating in Greenacres Park, Noctorum, where incidents of ASB and the use of off‑road motorbikes have also been noted. These activities pose risks to public safety and contribute to increased tension within the local area.
Issued 04 June 2026
The neighbourhood policing team has identified anti‑social behaviour and drug‑related activity as key priorities for the area. Targeted patrols, problem‑solving initiatives, and partnership working with local agencies will be implemented to tackle these issues and enhance safety for the local community. This includes community days of action with multiagency partners throughout the summer months.
