Community concerns in Heswall continue to focus on shoplifting and retail crime within Heswall Town Centre, with intelligence suggesting some offences may involve organised groups, causing particular concern amongst vulnerable shoppers and local businesses.
Residents have also highlighted ongoing issues with youth anti-social behaviour at Puddydale, nearby car parks and restaurants, as well as intimidation caused by youths riding bikes and e-bikes along the Wirral Way.
Further concerns remain regarding dangerous cycling affecting dog walkers, children and other users of the route, alongside community reassurance following the incident at Heswall Bus Station.
Additional priorities include the management of the night-time economy around licensed premises and takeaway venues, speeding and racing vehicles around Raby Village and Cheshire High Road, and persistent school parking obstructions affecting local neighbourhoods and the eight primary schools across the ward.
Issued 03 September 2026
