Recent engagement with local residents and councillors has identified several key community concerns across the area. Speeding traffic remains a significant issue on Old Chester Road, Highfield Road and Rock Lane West, with residents reporting ongoing road safety concerns. There has also been an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour and youth disorder around Knowsley Road and Harrogate Road, impacting community confidence and quality of life. In addition, theft from stores continues to be a priority within and around Rock Retail Park, with neighbourhood policing teams working alongside partners and retailers to target offenders, deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to the local community.
Issued 03 September 2026
The Neighbourhood Policing Team has increased high-visibility patrols and is working closely with retailers to target offenders. We are also carrying out welfare checks and linking individuals with support services where needed.
On Faversham Way, targeted patrols and enforcement are in place, with ongoing work alongside partners to address underlying causes and deliver longer-term solutions. We encourage continued reporting to help us respond effectively.
