This policy is designed to provide guidance and support to members of Merseyside Police who may be suffering financial constraint.

The overall aim of this policy is to establish a framework that provides all officers and staff within Merseyside Police with clear and consistent guidance in relation to the effective recording, allocation, investigation and prosecution of crime.

The policy is underpinned by clear detailed procedures setting out how offers from Merseyside Police funds or Third-Party Donors are arranged and managed.
