We are responding to community concerns linked to drug activity in several areas of the ward. Over the last month we are aware of reports of drug dealing taking place from residential properties in the northern end of the ward towards Crown Street.

We are continuing to work closely with our partner organisations, including local councillors, the Cathedral Constables and Housing Associations, to deliver a coordinated response to these issues.
Officers carry out regular patrols in the area and engage with residents, businesses, and community representatives. These conversations help us understand local concerns, address emerging issues, and gather valuable information that supports ongoing policing activity.
We have conducted a number of proactive operations, using a combination of high-visibility patrols and plain-clothed officers to disrupt criminal and anti-social behaviour.
Information provided by residents, businesses, and members of the community remains vital in helping us identify those responsible and target our activity effectively.
We continue to work alongside partner agencies, schools, and local organisations to take positive action, tackle offending, and develop intelligence. This collaborative approach enables us to use the most appropriate legal powers to address criminality, reduce anti-social behaviour, and improve the quality of life for those who live and work in the area.
We encourage all residents and businesses to report incidents of anti-social behaviour. Reporting helps us build a clear picture of the issues affecting the community and supports the use of measures such as Community Protection Notices where appropriate. We rely on information from the public to ensure we can take effective and proportionate action.
